β RINO fuses a modern edge with the raw soul of classic blues. The project was born from frontman Rinus Pauelβs bold leap across the globe, from Belgium to the Arizona desert, to build a life driven by music. The band unites musicians from diverse international roots and rich musical histories. Bound by the shared journey of starting anew with nothing but their passion for music as their guide. They fuse their wide influences into a vibrant, blues-soaked sound. Driven by powerful grooves, searing guitar, and soulful keys. RINO creates a sound that is both rooted in blues tradition and fiercely contemporary. On stage, RINO delivers performances that make the stage pulse with rhythm and prove the blues is undeniably alive and well.
Backed by world-class musicians on keys, sax, bass, and drums, RINO brings a sound thatβs as tight as it is soulful. A fusion inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, John Mayer, Robben Ford, BB King, Gary Clark Jr., the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Marcus King. β
